Based on 105 reviewsAung Family Restaurant is widely recognized for its authentic Asian cuisine, particularly Thai and Burmese dishes, which consistently receive praise for their rich flavors and quality ingredients. Customers appreciate the variety on the menu, highlighting popular items like Pad Kra Prow, Penang curry, and stir-fried udon for their well-executed recipes and generous portions. The restaurant's cozy ambiance and friendly, efficient service contribute positively to the overall dining experience. While most reviews commend the food quality, occasional feedback points to minor inconsistencies, such as rice texture. Nonetheless, Aung Family Restaurant is regarded as a great value spot for flavorful, home-style Asian fare in a welcoming setting.
Stopped here for dinner and had thé Pad Kra Prow (Thai Basil Chicken). They serve it Thai street style with the fried egg and minced meat. The flavor of the stir fry was spectacular and the veggies done just right. My only disappointment was the rice it came with. Mine was very mushy and overcooked.I also had the Thai tea which was superb.Overall, a fantastic dining experience. Looking forward to returning for more.
It’s a very good place for Thai cuisine. Foods are really awesome and tasty. Small place but very nice Decoration. Worth for money. Not an expensive restaurant. A huge variety of food is available. You can book a table early, but its fine also if you directly check in over there.
Incredible hidden gem of a restaurant! I had the Penang curry and it was delicious, while my husband had the Pad ka pao and absolutely loved it. Great atmosphere, great service, and great food. Thank you for making our Christmas Eve!!
Love this place! Been getting the stir fried udon regularly for almost a year. Food is always ready very quickly and staff is friendly. Tried a few other dishes here and they’re always great quality and good portions.
Ordered for the first time from Aung Family Restaurant. EVERYTHING was delicious. I ordered Thai coffee, tempura shrimp, samosas, Udon soup and red curry so I could sample. The shrimp was battered well, crispy outside, with tender inside, the shrimp was fresh and deveined. The Udon soup was seasoned well, with delicious grilled chicken and half a boiled egg. The samosas were crisply fried and full of seasoned vegetables that were soft but NOT mushy - the sauce has perfect flavor and heat. The red curry is rich and creamy but with enough spice to keep it from being *too* rich and cloying. I ate a little bit of everything. Great portions. This coffee reminds me of café au laít in New Orleans, it's full-bodied rich and strong. (I don't like sweet coffee- this was just right) I had this delivered but looking forward to visiting in person!
Aung’s was great! Food was delicious and the service and staff were super friendly. Can’t wait to go back and try out all the different dishes. A lot to offer, from classic Thai or Chinese cuisines to more traditional and unique items.
I really enjoyed the basil fried rice that I ordered from here. The green curry was excellent as well. The family that runs this place was very friendly to me and my family. overall we had a great time.
This place is delicious! When I tell you those plates were squeaky clean after we ate? That sushi was the best! After that day I started eating sushi again (only from here though) and the curry? That bowl was empty by the time I was done. A 100% recommend and a MUST.Service is 10/10 and the people are genuinely happy to serve you, and you can see it. Definitely will be ordering takeout from here, my new favorite spot.
